The bee-friendly Garden

The bee-friendly Garden by Kale Frey and Gretchen LeBuhn, took me places that I have never gone.  I know that we need to pollinate.  The bee-friendly Garden, led me to understand that planting a full garden of flowers is very important.  I was surprised how important it is to plant vegetable gardens as well.

The book is filled with full color photos of beautiful gardens.  It touches on topics such as bee-friendly perennials; plants that attract and support bees & hummingbirds; factors that influence bloom, nectar, and pollen; and how shade versus sun affects bees.  The book is easy to read and follow.  The index is quite extensive and useful.  This book has given me the know how and encouragement to explore the art of bee gardening.
